Yaping Fang is an associate professor in the the Department of Big Data Science at the College of Informatics and Huazhong Agricultural University, and a research member in the Agricultural Bioinformatics Key Laboratory of Hubei Province, Hubei Engineering Technology Research Center of Agricultural Big Data, Key Lab of Potato Biology and Biotechnology of Ministry of Agriculture at Huazhong Agricultural University. Before taking the position at Huazhong Agricultural University, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of Kansas and University of Oklahoma in USA from 2010 to 2013. He received a Ph.D. degree in in Chemical biology from Sichuan University in 2010, B.S. degree from Central China Normal University. He is a Member of China Computer Society and China Bioinformatics Society. Until now, the related work has been published in the Nucleic Acids Research、Bioinformatics、 BMC Genomics and other international academic journals.
